Preventing Moth Holes

Clothes moths, which are small and buff-colored, choose dark, quiet, undisturbed places to lay their eggs. It is actually the moth larve which feeds on wool -- not the flying moth. Knowing wools are susceptible to moth damage during storage or inactivity, here are several easy steps that will generally prevent damage:

1) EMBEX Moth control is 100% Paradichlorobenzene the most proven moth deterrent.

2) Brush the wool clothes in your active wardrobe on a regular basis--a lint brush, or bristled clothes brush works best.

3) Clean wool articles before placing in storage. Soiled wools (even those which have picked up invisible body oils) are more likely to attract moths.

4) Both dry cleaning and laundering will remove any moth eggs or larvae.

5) If you see a moth flying in your home, KILL IT.

Common Questions

How do I use EMBEX? Moth Control comes in 5 oz. cans which are placed on the shelf above the hanging garments in your closet. Three to six cans usually are sufficient, depending on the size of the closet. Cans can also be placed in your wardrobe or dresser drawer.

Will EMBEX harm my pets, (cats, dogs etc.)? Moth Control is not a poison and does not actually kill the moths. It works by acting as an irritant which effectively repels the moths from your closet. This same irritant quality makes Moth Control unattractive to household pets. It only makes for good common sense, however, to avoid leaving any open cans where they will be within the reach of small children. Do not ingest!
